Text a Cab at Stansted Airport

This service will give travellers a speedy option to order a taxi or private hire car as soon as they disembark their aircraft. All they need to do is text the word 'Cabby' to an sms short code number, this is a 5 digit number which is easy to remember and quick to enter.

The service then books your taxi or private hire car on your behalf and then sends you a confirmation text with the details of where you will be met by your driver. This would normally be on your exit from the 'Customs Hall' or at the 'Pick Up Point' at the car park level.

Your payment is made to the driver at the end of your journey.

This service will offer travellers an easy and quick way of making their way to their final destination by making the arrangements for a car as they clear passport control and collect their baggage. This normally takes between 10-15 minutes so as they clear the 'Custom Hall' they have a car waiting to take them where they wish without having to make a call or wait at the information desk for a car to be booked.

This system is already in place at many major airports in the US and is fast becoming the standard method of booking onward travel by cab. Stansted Taxi Services are the first at Stansted Airport to offer the 'Text a Cab Service.
